Our story began aboard ship in 2016, during our undergraduate years in the greater Philadelphia area. On a cool November evening, at a yacht party on the Delaware River, our paths crossed with the city skyline setting the perfect backdrop for this moment.
Playful exchanges on the dance floor sparked something between us. We found stolen moments on the galley stairs, whispering conversations that deepened our connection.
That night, Christopher left the ship with a feeling he'd found his own Saylor.
These days, most of our adventures happen on dry land. We can usually be found decorating and sprucing up our home or road-tripping throughout the Northeast, with Christopher in the driver's seat and Finnian as the trusty co-pilot.
That's where our passion for antiquing takes center stage. For us, no road trip is complete without a curated list of antique store stops. It's a shared adventure that fuels our curiosity, fills our home with treasures, and encapsulates the joy we find in the pursuit of the unique and beautiful.
Candlewick Glassware
We have a particular love for fine serviceware, specifically Candlewick glassware. In 1936, the Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire, Ohio introduced this classic design, inspired by decorative stitching known as "candlewicking." Each piece is adorned with dainty bubbles, which add effervescence to our home.
With over 100 pieces in our collection, Candlewick has become our shared scavenger hunt in the life we live together. Every new find is a victory, a testament to our dedication and the thrill of the chase. But more than that, it's a symbol of the love we share and the beautiful memories we create along the way.
